Emme and I are big fans of Chinese hot pot (actually any kind of hot pot). We used to dine at these hot pot restaurants about once every 2 or 3 weeks when we lived in New York City for year a while back. Last week we were driving in Cary and noticed a hot pot restaurant called So Hot so we had to try it out.
If you've never had hot pot before, it's kind of like fondue. Kind of...not really.
So Hot in Cary offers an all you can eat style hot pot which is very popular in many large cities like NYC and LA. At So Hot, you just order what you want from a tablet and the servers will cart out the food in minutes.
The steps of eating hot pot is simple. Mix your favorite dipping sauce at the sauce station as shown in the picture above (Tip: the sesame/peanut sauces go great with really spicy meats). Sit down and cook your own food at your table. Then enjoy with your favorite beverage plus friends and family.
At So Hot, lunch prices start at $20/person and dinner at $25/person. Prices will vary depending on how many soup bases you choose. We ordered two soup bases for lunch and chose a variety of dishes from lamb, ribeye-roll, tofu, rice noodle, fish, veggies and more.
If you love hot pot or have never had it before, now you can try it out right here in Cary, NC
Disclosure: This blog about So Hot is not an ad. We don't know the owners and we don't think they know us. We just love food ☺️
