Blue Orchid Realty was founded by Emme Zheng and Tommy Peng, a husband-and-wife team who returned to North Carolina in 2012 to raise their family and build a real estate company with a more thoughtful approach.
Emme brought a background most real estate agents do not have: a B.A. in Interior Architecture and experience with residential and commercial design at a New York City architecture firm. That perspective — seeing space, layout, light, flow, and potential — became central to how Blue Orchid helps sellers prepare their homes and helps buyers evaluate long-term value.
Tommy brought strong marketing experience and a shared belief that clients deserve clear strategy, direct communication, and a more modern real estate experience.

Emme Zheng
Emme grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, and earned her B.A. in Interior Architecture in 2009. She began her career at a boutique architecture firm in New York City, where her projects ranged from conceptual space planning to correcting building-code violations, changing occupancy classifications and converting warehouses into residential space.
In 2012, she and her husband, Tommy, returned to North Carolina, drawn by the Triangle’s growth, Research Triangle Park and its three major universities. They’re raising their three boys here.
As Broker-in-Charge and co-founder of Blue Orchid Realty, Emme brings 14+ years of Triangle real estate experience and the ABR® and SRS® designations. She works with everyone from first-time buyers to luxury buyers and sellers, combining market data with a designer’s eye to help clients make confident decisions. Emme is multilingual and fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese and Fuzhounese.

Madison Fung
Madison grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia and has lived in North Carolina for the past four years. Before real estate, she spent seven years working in childcare, an experience that shaped her patience, communication style, and ability to understand what people need.
Madison works primarily with buyers. She is thoughtful, warm, and attentive, helping clients look beyond the checklist and focus on how a home actually feels, functions, and fits their life.
When she is not working, Madison enjoys planning new adventures with her husband, spending time with friends, and baking — which also makes her a good judge of a well-designed kitchen.
