Blue Orchid Realty was founded by Emme Zheng and Tommy Peng, a husband-and-wife team who returned to North Carolina in 2012 to raise their family and build a real estate company with a more thoughtful approach.
Emme brought a background most real estate agents do not have: a B.A. in Interior Architecture and experience with residential and commercial design at a New York City architecture firm. That perspective — seeing space, layout, light, flow, and potential — became central to how Blue Orchid helps sellers prepare their homes and helps buyers evaluate long-term value.
Tommy brought strong marketing experience and a shared belief that clients deserve clear strategy, direct communication, and a more modern real estate experience.

Emme Zheng
Emme grew up in North Carolina and is proud to call it home. She graduated from the Interior Architecture program in 2009 with a B.A. in Interior Architecture, building a strong foundation in design, space planning, and client-focused problem solving.
After graduation, she began her career at an architecture firm in New York City — working on residential and commercial projects including apartments, attorney offices, restaurants, and warehouses. In 2012, she returned to North Carolina with Tommy to raise their family closer to home. She is a proud mother of three boys.
Today, Emme brings 14+ years of Triangle-area real estate experience and 250+ closings to every client relationship. Her ability to interpret market data, pricing trends, and neighborhood insights — combined with a genuine designer’s eye — helps buyers and sellers make confident, informed decisions. Whether preparing a home for market, identifying a property’s potential, or guiding clients through negotiations, Emme approaches each relationship with care, expertise, and full personal accountability.

Madison Fung
Madison grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia and has lived in North Carolina for the past four years. Before real estate, she spent seven years working in childcare, an experience that shaped her patience, communication style, and ability to understand what people need.
Madison works primarily with buyers. She is thoughtful, warm, and attentive, helping clients look beyond the checklist and focus on how a home actually feels, functions, and fits their life.
When she is not working, Madison enjoys planning new adventures with her husband, spending time with friends, and baking — which also makes her a good judge of a well-designed kitchen.
